Strategies and new initiatives

An eagle left his tree perch, to fly to me
and circle around – three times,
floating on winds I could not see.
He beckoned: this is how leadership should be.
Strategy and new initiatives
Looking for a new and more sustainable way to execute your mandate as a public sector organisation or non-profit, or to deliver as a business? Setting up a new social initiative? Are your challenges connected with connected to justice, rule of law, human rights, ESG, and/or conservation?

I support internationally operating organisations and people to develop and implement breakthrough strategies, impact-driven initiatives, and effective governance mechanisms. I help navigate complex political environments, multicultural settings and different sectors. I do this as an executive, an adviser, or as a supervisory board member.

My leading principles: embracing diversity and complexity; listening deeply to what is needed, and focussing on outcomes.
I have particular experience in Africa and the MENA region. My network allows me to rapidly mobilise effective teams for the task. I work fluently in English, French, and Dutch.

Leadership trails
As part of this work, I facilitate leadership trails, working on the basis of the methods developed by the Foundation for Natural Leadership, where I am a certified facilitator.
Into nature. Carrying questions and forks in the road. The only connection is with yourself, nature, and, the other participants. No phones. No watch. Answers emerge. Directions for action become clear. Commitments solidify. For individuals who want to grow. For teams who want to be better at what they do.
